2010 Minster's Collection -- Student Artwork Wanted

You are invited to submit student visual artwork to the Saskatchewan Society for Education through Art to be juried for the Minister of Education Annual Art Collection. A committee of the SSEA will view submitted items and select approximately 50 pieces of work for this year’s event. The deadline for submitting work is March 26, 2010. Each school is invited to submit up to 3 pieces of artwork.

This exhibition will recognize student creativity, artistic contribution to culture, and reflect the excellent work being done with the Saskatchewan Arts Education Curriculum.

The exhibition opening will take place May 2010 at the Saskatchewan Legislature in Regina. Student artists and their parents will be invited to an opening reception where they will receive a certificate of recognition, meet dignitaries including the Minister of Education, and connect with their fellow artists. Student artwork will remain on display for a period of one month at the Saskatchewan Legislative building in the Cumberland Gallery. Student work will then be showcased in the offices of the Ministry of Education and the SSEA for a period of one year.
