Summer days...Summer fun!
As we enjoy the sunshine and warm weather, we continue to be very busy in the SSEAS office. We have now wrapped up the 10th annual Minister’s Collection Student Art Showcase. Over 200 people attended the luncheon, gallery tours and activities in honor of 56 student artists. We are very thankful and appreciative that Minister Krawetz was able to take time from his busy schedule to present certificates to the students. It is so important to the students and a highlight to their day.
From July 22 –25 we were part of an interesting and exciting Parks Canada display and art event at Market Mall, Saskatoon. As part of the 125th Anniversary of Banff, the first national park, the public were invited to paint Adirondack chairs in the spirit of the Parks. These chairs will be displayed at the Saskatoon Exhibition and will then be distributed to various Parks Canada parks and sites throughout Saskatchewan. We extend a gracious thank you to Lila Kallstrom and Sandra Knoss who were our featured artists during the event.
We are excited to tell you about some things coming up that you might to mark on your calendar!
"Great art is as irrational as great music. It is mad with its own loveliness."
